Anne with an E

Anne says hello. And she would like you to call her Cordelia. If you insist on calling her Anne, then it must be Anne with an E.

Anne is a commissioned piece done in Pillow Form Figure style with elastic ball jointed upper body—she can turn and tilt her head, rotate her hands and has slight movement in her elbows and upper arms (those darn puffy sleeves make it hard for a girl to move around ;p). Her sleeves are easily removable should the need arise to restring her elastic in the future.

Her hair is auburn red infused with a bit of ‘carrot.’ The doll’s upper is hand sculpted polymer clay with a hand sewn ultra suede lower body. She has green glass eyes. Total height is about 12.5 inches.

She wears the famous ‘puffed sleeves’ blue gown with a scene of home along the bottom of her skirt. I used a trusty Google search to find inspiration images of Anne’s home (the house of Green Gables at Cavendish on Prince Edward Island). I found a lovely blog with a great large photo of the home the blogger had taken while vacationing there, and the blog owner was kind enough to surprise me with additional photos of this original home that inspired L.M. Montgomery.  Thank you Ginny! You can visit her blog here.  :]

She's Anne with an "A" for attitude. You really captured Anne's spunky personality with that head tilt.

Jessica, I am a huge AOGG fan! Love this doll! Had I known my daughter would be a redhead, she would have been named Anne Shirley.. hehe!
